Some time ago, I decided to specialize in Hypnotherapy for Childbirth. I have other specialities, - this is arguably one of the most important - and I decided that the easibirthing™ method was the best.
I believe mothers and their babies should be helped to get off to as good a start in life as possible, and this process certainly goes a long way to achieving that aim. Without drugs, your body and that of your baby do not have any artificial stimulants, depressants or anaesthesia to interrupt the entirely natural process of childbirth, and this also applies to the time immediately after the actual birth has taken place, when you can hold your child in your arms for the first time.
The mother and child bonding process starts immediately at that point. Wouldn't you like this moment to be as unhindered and natural as it can be?
Its also important for your husband or partner to take some part in the process, and they might like to come along to the course with you, especially the first part.
When you have finished the complete 9 hour course (not all at once!), you will be very well equipped indeed to have an enjoyable, memorable birth experience. To have the ability to relax, manage any pain, and feel in control and positive can have such a powerful effect on both you and your child.
You'll also meet a few other mothers-to-be in a similar situation to yourself, and have a good excuse to get out of the house for a while !
The course is spread conveniently either over three weeks, with an introductory session followed by two sessions of approximately three hours each. Sessions are held in the evenings and at weekends, as availability allows. It's designed this way so that you get maximum benefit from each module, and have the days in between to enjoy what you have learned each time.To further help you, I'll be giving you CDs of the critical parts each of the modules, so you can be gently guided in your practice at home. I see this as an integral part of the full course, and there will be no extra charge for these.
